Shakespearean insults! Everyone gets and gives one of Shakespeare's insults

I model a 2 minute presentation from Act 1, in preparation for your upcoming presentation assignment. At Sheldon IHS, students form groups and sign up for these presentations (sign up was done last week at South). I also talk about how to dress in a "Shakespearean" manner without spending money on a costume.

Watch movie scenes as time allows.

HWK: South, do "Who Is Iago?" assignment from page 4 of the text. We did this at Sheldon in class last week, so Sheldon IHS has a bit of a homework break! (South will get one soon.) BE READY FOR A QUIZ ON ACT 1.

7. discord (noun) -- lack of agreement or harmony/quarreling or conflict

8. dilatory (adjective) -- tending to cause delay

9. agile (adjective) -- ability to move with quick, easy grace

10. alacrity (noun) -- promptness in response/cheerful readiness

Work in group to peer edit essay outline and get credit for having yours completed (We didn't do this in AM 1 class because of the unexpected and lengthy fire alarm)

HWK: BECAUSE FIRE ALARMS WENT OFF AT LEAST 5 TIMES TODAY, THE EXPECTED CLASSWORK WAS INTERRUPTED. CLASSES ALL VOTED (NO SURPRISE HERE!) TO DELAY THE ROUGH DRAFT OF THE ESSAY UNTIL FRIDAY, WITH THE FINAL DUE TUESDAY 11/10. SOUTH AM 2 AND PM CLASSES HAVE NO HWK; SOUTH AM 1 HAS TO BRING IN THE COMPLETED OUTLINE, WHICH MANY OF YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE ANYWAY.
